Public Information Request

  1. Residents of the district and other interested persons shall be entitled to examine the public records of the port at all reasonable times during periods when the offices of the port are open to the public. Said records may not be removed from port offices.
  2. Persons desiring that port officials or employees prepare and supply copies of public records shall pay to the port the sum of $0.15 for the copy of each page requested. Any record requiring certification by a port official shall require an additional payment of $3.00 for the first page and $1.00 for each additional page. Persons requesting copies of public records by mail shall be provided with the costs required to package and mail the documents together with the per page cost of copying and payment of those costs must be received prior to mailing.
  3. Nothing in this chapter shall prevent persons from copying public records without charge, so long as the process of copying does not involve use of port equipment, nor interferes with use of the documents in the usual course by port employees.
  4. The Port of Grandview will not maintain an index of government records pursuant to RCW 42.56.070 as such recordkeeping would be unduly burdensome on the Port and its limited resources of funds and personnel to maintain such an index of records.
  5. The Administrative Assistant is designated as the public records officer for the Port of Grandview.
  6. The public records officer shall:
    1. Serve as a point of contact for members of the public in requesting disclosure of public records;
    2. Oversee compliance with the public records disclosure requirements of the public disclosure law of the state of Washington as now or hereafter amended (currently in Chapter 42.56 RCW
