Next Regular Meeting: July 14th, 2026 6:00 PM
We are proud to announce the opening of a new and state-of-the-art Travel America Travel Center including a unique combination of IHOP & Applebee’s Restaurants. This “dual-branded” restaurant is only the second to open in the United States – first in Seguin, Texas and now in Grandview, Washington!
For decades, Applebee’s and IHOP have been places where friends gather, families celebrate, and careers begin. Now, with a dual-branded restaurant, it is combining the strengths of both brands to create a unique and innovative dining experience that offers variety and value to guests.
Both restaurants are owned by the Dine Brands Corporation and have franchised with Travel America and the store developers, Grandview Truck Plaza LLC (Ramandeep Malhi, Gurvinder Singh, and Hardeep Singh). The company has selected the best and most popular dishes on their menus and combined them for extraordinary dining possibilities. Seating is abundant and comfortable with booths, tables, and bar options. Additional restaurants include Scratch Dig-In Chicken, Spice Route, Tacos Guadalajara, and a deli counter at the convenience store.
Extra truck parking in the back of the building allows for overnight stays and offers many other services, such as showering facilities and a small dog park for any travelling buddies. Down the road on Higgins Way is the new Grandview Truck Wash, servicing larger vehicles including trailers and RVs – just in time for spring! A truck repair facility which will provide year round repairs has an opening date scheduled for May of this year.
The recent development at The Shops at Point Port West marks an exciting step forward for local business growth in the Grandview area. With another recent acquisition of the corner lot, Jason Tolman has continued to expand his vision for a thriving commercial hub, creating even more opportunity for local entrepreneurs of the surrounding Grandview community.
Through this development, several local businesses have found a home where they can expand, launch, or relocate their operations. Businesses such as:
The space has quickly begun to take on a true sense of community, with each business supporting one another and contributing to a dynamic and collaborative environment. It's been incredible to see how naturally these businesses compliment one another, and create a destination that offers something for everyone.
Jason Tolman's vision, and execution have been instrumental in bringing this project to life. His commitment to creating a space that fosters growth, connection, and opportunity is evident in every detail of The Shops at Point Port West.
It has been a privilege to assist in connecting local businesses to this opportunity and to witness firsthand the excitement and momentum building within the development. Seeing these businesses take the leap of faith and begin to grow in such a supportive environment has been truly rewarding.
As these businesses continue to establish themselves, there is a strong sense that this is just the beginning. With continued growth and collaboration, The Shops at Point Port West is poised to become a cornerstone of the local community economy for years to come.
