Notice is hereby given that a vacancy exists on the Port of Grandview Commission representing Port Commissioner District No. 2. The remaining members of the Board of Commissioners formally nominate Nancy Macias to fill said vacancy. The Port will also be accepting letters of interest and nominations of qualified persons to be considered for appointment. Eligibility requirements are that the person must be a registered voter and a resident of District No. 2 of the Port of Grandview. District No. 2 is described as follows:
Starting at the southeast corner of the northeast quarter of the northeast quarter of Section 23,Township 9, Range 23 head west along E. 2nd Street ½ mile; thence south along B Avenue to W. 5th Street; thence west along W. 5th Street to Appleway Road, said point being the city limits of Grandview, WA as of October 14, 2011; thence south along Appleway Road to Pecan Road; thence southeasterly along Pecan Road to the east boundary of Grandview Orchard Tract 84; thence northeasterly along the east boundary of Grandview Orchard Tract 84 to the south boundary of Tract 85; thence easterly along the south boundary of Tract 85 approximately 700 feet; thence north approximately 425 feet to the northeast corner of Lot 7 of Orchard Tract 85; thence east to the northeast corner of Fruit Land Orchard Tracts 4; thence south along Cherry Lane to the south boundary of Section 22, Township 9, Range 23; thence east to the southeast corner of the southwest quarter of Section 23, same Township and Range; thence east 250 feet, north 190 feet, east 88 feet, north 62 feet, east 127 feet, south 252 feet, east 200 feet, north 286 feet, north 82o49’34’’ east 165 feet to Apache Drive; thence south along Apache Drive to Pleasant Avenue; thence east approximately 500 feet on Pleasant Avenue to the east boundary of the city limits of Grandview, WA as of October 14, 2011; thence north and east following the city boundary to the southeast corner of the northeast quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 23, Township 9, Range 23; thence south approximately 645 feet; thence east approximately 582 feet to the east boundary of the city limits of Grandview, WA as of October 14, 2011; thence northerly following the city limit boundary to S. Elm Street; thence north along S. Elm Street to the point of beginning.
