Grandview Business Park

Economic development has resurfaced at the Port of Grandview – this time in the Grandview Business Park on Higgins Way close to the Walmart Distribution Center. In May of 2023,  developer Ramandeep Malhi purchased twenty one and a half acres for a large development to include a Travel America Plaza.

Currently under construction, seen along Yakima Valley Highway in the eastern park, are two fuel stations with canopies, a convenience store, and a truck repair shop with off-road parking. A truck wash business is being built to the north near the Walmart Distribution Center entrance. A truck weigh station is being added as well. The convenience store will have multiple restaurants with indoor seating and fast food, and many outdoor food truck options.

Developer Ramandeep Malhi has also bought an additional thirty acres of property lying north of his current development. This property will be the location of several businesses, including a manufacturing facility with upcoming sales opportunities, hotel accommodations, and much more.

This economic development project will serve the community of Grandview for years to come. This site is in a perfect location to provide much needed services that are easily accessible to customers. Many public grand-openings will be scheduled later this year.

Wallace Way Business Parks

Commercial Development Center on Wallace Way West

The Port of Grandview sold three acres of land on Port Point West to local developer Jason Tolman in 2022. The first building was finished in 2023 for the Aging & Long-Term Care office. They provide services to seniors, adults with disabilities, and caregivers in Yakima and Benton Counties.

Construction of the commercial development center

Jason’s latest project is a 27,000 square foot Commercial Development Center that began in 2024 and is set to be complete and open for business in May of this year. Many businesses are contracted to move in, including a restaurant, two beauty salons, a meat shop, a floral shop, and a juice bar. One of the three buildings will be an Anytime Fitness gym owned by the Heitzman family.

The tenant space is filling fast but units are still available. For more information, contact Jason Tolman at 509-830-1164 or Brittany Byma at 509-830-7326.

The Pallet Place

In 2014 Forks Properties, LLC purchased five acres of the Wallace Way Business Park from the Port of Grandview for the Pallet Place, their manufacturing company that builds pallets for agricultural and commercial applications. The company bought the remaining three acres in the Wallace Way Development  in 2021, and in 2024 built an additional 17,000 square foot warehouse. The Port welcomes and congratulates The Pallet Place for choosing Grandview to expand one of their business ventures.
